Återvinna is a design studio founded by Ciaran Custance and Sophie Lavis, exploring the intersection of form, function and sustainability. Drawing on Ciaran’s background in furniture making and Sophie’s experience in fashion, the studio reimagines the potential of recycled and responsibly sourced materials.

Guided by a philosophy of conscious design, Återvinna creates pieces that balance restraint with warmth. The work challenges traditional ideas of luxury and encourages a more thoughtful relationship with the objects we live with.

Ciaran and Sophie craft each piece in their workshop in Melbourne, Victoria, on Wurundjeri land. Their practice reflects a commitment to longevity, material integrity and considered design, resulting in furniture that is made to be lived with, valued and passed on.
